1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
I can’t believe this is a thing that people do now, but. A few weeks ago, I got a bag of chicken wings from Costco. It was the end of the month so I figured I’d be a little chippier with the coupons than usual. I pulled out a little bowl of a rub and stirred it into the sauce as directed. A bunch of people had a good laugh at me. This wasn’t a new recipe, but it was new to me. This is where we were before that! Then I added a 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and stirred it in. Then I put the wings in the oven for about 35 minutes at 350. I watched some food network shows to figure out how to cut up the wings. When they were finished, I pulled them out of the oven and sprinkled the mixture on top. I had a lot of compliments from people who thought it was gross but wanted the chicken wings, so I thought I’d share it with you.
2 tablespoons of basil
Add basil leaves to pan and saute until wilted, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside. In another bowl, add 1/4 cup of white vinegar, 1/4 cup of white wine, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until combined and set aside for a minute. Add chicken wings and mix to coat. Next add 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix again. Cook wings for 10-12 minutes. Turn over wings and continue cooking until cooked through. The whole wings should be crispy. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter and 1 1/2 tablespoons of white wine to pan and saute for a minute. Drizzle with additional olive oil, pour over wings and toss to coat. Once wings are cooked through, add basil, and toss to coat.
