make it one day
do you have those green pistachios you like? good because i know how to spice them up.
the process
You can easily flavor the pistachios in the shell by soaking them in water for an hour or so to soften the shell, and then roasting them in a 400 degree oven for about 10 minutes. Once they’ve cooled down, you can dip them in flavored oil, such as vanilla or almond, and crush them.
how to flavor pistachios in the shell
In this video, I show you how to make a pistachio nut. This recipe can be made with salted or unsalted pistachios, either fresh or dry. I make it in a food processor with just a couple of ingredients. What makes it good is that the salt used will taste good in the shells and the spice from the crushed anise, coriander, and cumin will also keep them in the shell. If you don’t have anise, the other spices are a great substitute. Here’s what I do: I buy a pound of nuts, then I put the whole pound in the food processor and blend until they are finely ground.
