How to Cook Steak
There are many ways to cook steak, but there are also many different methods to keep your steak fresh. Steak can be cooked in the oven, on the stove top or in a microwave. One of the best methods to keep your steak fresh and ready to eat is to cook it in the microwave. To cook your steak, place the steak on a microwave-safe plate and season with salt and pepper. Cover the steak with a paper towel, microwave on high for about five minutes, and then flip the steak over. Remove the paper towel and repeat on high for another minute. Finish by placing the steak back in the oven and finish cooking for about five minutes.
How to Defrost Steak
We all know that you can’t defrost a steak in the microwave, but you can definitely defrost it in the oven. If you’re defrosting a steak in the oven, you should only use the defrost setting, and you shouldn’t rotate it. This can make the center of the steak too hot, which can cause it to dry out and toughen up. Instead, put your steak on a paper towel and pat it dry. Now, put it in a cast-iron skillet. Use a knife to separate it into individual pieces, about 3/4-inch thick. Put the skillet in the oven and turn the oven to 325 degrees. Put your steak in the oven and let it defrost for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of your steak. When the steak has defrosted, take it out and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes before you cut it.
How to Serve Steak
For steaks that have been defrosted, it is best to place them on a plate and lightly brush them with oil. However, for steaks that are fully frozen, it is best to place them in a pan and drizzle them with oil. Turn the steak over and sear them on the other side for 3 minutes. Remove them from the pan and plate them.
