If you love fried chicken, but hate washing the dishes afterwards, try this delicious way to deep fry chicken wings. You’ll need: 1 – 12″ metal pie pan (the deep fryer requires a metal pan. we used a glass pie pan, but the chicken will not be as crisp). 1/2 – 2 lbs. frying chicken wings 1 1/2 – 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 – 2 tbsp. bread crumbs 1 egg 2 large dashes Frank’s Red Hot 1/2 cup vegetable oil (we used olive oil) 1/4 cup water Place chicken wings in a bowl and mix flour, bread crumbs, egg, and hot sauce in a separate bowl. Then dip wings into the flour mixture, shaking off the excess, then dip into the breadcrumbs. Deep fry chicken at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes (you can flip them after about 8 minutes). Don’t fry more than a couple of pieces at a time. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to dry. Repeat with remaining chicken.

It’s recommended that the oil temperature be between 360-375 degrees. You can test it by placing a small amount of food in the oil and waiting 30 seconds. If the oil begins to bubble and the food begins to sizzle, it’s time to test the oil temperature again.
