Add the beans to a large pan and add 1/2 cup of olive oil, 2 chopped onions, 2 large cloves of garlic, 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of oregano, and 1/2 teaspoon of thyme. While the beans are simmering, place the lid on the pan to slow the cooking process. After the beans have simmered for about 30 minutes, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir the mixture well. Continue to cook until the beans are just starting to get dry, about 30 minutes.
