It’s a very lean cut of meat that is similar to bavette steak. Like bavette steak, skirt steak can be cooked and served both as a steak and a cutlet. Both skirt steak and bavette steak can be marinated ahead of cooking to tenderize them, and the marinade can also be used as a sauce for the meat.

Tips To Cook A Perfect Skirt Steak
If you are looking to cook perfect skirt steak, there are some things you should keep in mind. You need to be careful not to overcook the steak. In order to achieve this, it’s best to cook it rare to medium. It’s also important to make sure the steak is thin enough for the pan. If you like the steak cooked more, you can cook it a little longer for medium or medium rare. You can cook it in a covered skillet on low heat, or in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes per pound.
How To Cook A Skirt Steak
If you want to have the best skirt steak in your life, make sure you follow these steps. Take the steak out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before cooking. Then you can let it sit at room temperature for an hour or two. Also, take note of the thickness of your skirt steak. If the steak is too thick, you won’t be able to get a good sear on it. And you don’t want to do that. Next, preheat your oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 degrees Celsius). Place the steak on a cutting board. Then lightly season the steak with salt and pepper. If you want, you can also rub the steak with olive oil or grill the steak on a hot grill.
The Process Of Cooking a Skirt Steak
Slice your skirt steak across the grain, then season with salt, pepper, cumin, and garlic powder. Sprinkle with olive oil. Heat a grill pan over medium heat, then sear the meat for 3 minutes per side.
