How To Cut Up A Sirloin Steak
Cutting up a sirloin steak can be tricky. If you don’t cut the meat right, it’ll be tough and dry. Most people like their sirloin steak tender and juicy. Here’s how to cut it up correctly. First, place the steak on a cutting board and cover the board with a plastic wrap. The plastic will keep the steak from drying out. Next, place your knife just below the bone and cut the steak in half. Move your knife towards the bone until you reach the bone. Repeat this process again so that you are cutting across the bone. Once you have cut through the bone, make a few cuts with your knife to get the steak nice and small. Once your steak is done, you can serve it with a simple sauce or salad.
The Steak
Beef is known to be a powerful source of protein and iron. But you don’t always have to eat it in a raw form. Sirloin steak can be cooked in a variety of ways. The following is a basic recipe for pan-seared beef sirloin steak. This technique of cooking beef over high heat is called a high-temperature cooking technique, as opposed to a low-temperature cooking technique. This is because it results in a dark sear. Make sure to only cook the steak to an internal temperature of 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Steaks cooked past that point can become dry and tough. Put the steak in a pan and add a bit of oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add a small amount of smoked paprika. Cook the steak over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Flip the steak and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes. This allows the steak to sear on the other side. Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to cook for another 3 to 5 minutes. This gives the steak a well-browned exterior. Remove the steak from the pan. Add a little bit of butter and swirl it around in the pan. Cook the steak in the butter for 2 to 3 minutes.
