Salmon and patties are great! If you’ve tried these before, you know what a success they are, but the breading is a little hard to get off. Here’s a trick that will make this dish even more delicious.
How to cook fish
I love salmon and cooked salmon can be delicious, but I’ve always struggled with cooking it. I find it very difficult to get the protein cooked through, even with the lowest temperature on my oven. So, I decided to investigate how to cook salmon patties with flour and I found a great recipe. The first step is to whisk the flour with the spices in a bowl until it becomes a crumbly consistency. The whisk is helpful in breaking up the dry ingredients. Next, break the salmon into large chunks and then lightly mix in the flour until the fish is covered. After that, the salmon should be mixed gently with your hands. Then, shape the salmon into patties. I used my hands to flatten the patties and cut them into slices. I put the salmon patties in a baking dish and then added a small amount of olive oil and some fresh lemon juice. The lemon juice and oil helps prevent the salmon patties from sticking to the pan. Then, I baked the salmon patties at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes, flipping them after eight minutes. While I prefer eating this dish on its own, it is also good on a sandwich with some lettuce, tomato, and onion.
Water
To cook salmon patties in the oven, you will need the following: 1 (1-1/2 pounds) salmon fillet, 1 cup of water, a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bring the water to a boil in a large pot. While the water is heating, place the salmon in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Add the flour, and process for about a minute, or until the mixture forms a ball. Turn the ball of dough out onto a lightly floured work surface. Using the heel of your hand, flatten the dough. Then, using a 2-inch round cutter, cut the flattened dough into 12 rounds. Place the rounds in the baking dish, and press the tops down firmly with your hands. Spread the tops of the patties with a mixture of 1/4 cup of the fat and 1 tablespoon of the curry paste. Season the salmon patties with salt and pepper. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through and golden brown. Let the patties rest for about 5 minutes, then serve them with a plate of steamed vegetables.

Oil
While the salmon is baking, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. While you’re waiting for the salmon to bake, combine the whole wheat flour and the baking powder in a small mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, add in the butter and combine with the flour and baking powder. Form the mixture into four equal patties. Once the salmon has finished baking, lay the patties on a baking sheet with a slight spray of vegetable oil. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until they are browned on the bottom. Remove from the oven and let the salmon patties cool for five minutes, then flip the patties over and serve.
