Fish is one of my favorite types of foods. It’s low in calories and packed with high quality protein. However, it can be a bit tricky to cook fish, especially when you don’t have a large, deep fryer. This is where an electric skillet comes in handy. It’s a relatively inexpensive cooking tool that you can take to the kitchen with you.
Tips for cooking salmon on a skillet
If you are using a non-stick skillet, it’s important to avoid using oil or other cooking fats. Most non-stick skillets use an aluminum coating, which is a poor conductor of heat. This can make it difficult to cook the salmon. Because of this, you should skip using cooking oils like olive oil. Instead, use water to make a simple syrup. If you do this, you’ll still be able to cook the salmon, but without having to worry about damaging the pan. You can also cook the salmon with chicken stock. If you have chicken stock on hand, this is a great way to make a simple sauce. Just mix about 2 cups of chicken stock with 1/4 cup of lemon juice. While the sauce is still warm, add the cooked salmon. This can also be used as a sauce to go over grilled or pan-seared salmon. So, to cook salmon on a skillet, you can make a simple lemon sauce, or use a simple chicken stock mixture.
