If you’re on a diet or just looking to cut back on your calorie intake, it’s easy to fall into the trap of buying prepared foods. That’s especially true when it comes to barbecuing. It seems like nothing can go wrong when you buy an already prepared meal. But nothing could be further from the truth. Grilling is a great way to prepare food, but the results can be unpredictable. When cooking on a gas grill, your temperature is always regulated, so there’s no guessing game. But when cooking on a charcoal grill, that’s not the case. That’s why it’s so important to pay attention to a few key points before you light the fire.
Cleaning and Prep
Before you cook any piece of meat, you should always clean it. This is done to remove any dirt or contaminants. In the case of pork, you should rinse the meat and pat it dry. Next, you should season the meat. This can be done by rubbing the meat with salt and pepper. Be careful to not apply too much salt, as it can cause the meat to dry out. There are various types of sauces, but the best one is a vinegar and water mix. This helps the meat to soak up the spices in the sauce and adds a little moisture to the meat. You can also use other spices, such as paprika. If you are cooking the meat on a grill, you should apply a bit of oil to it. Once the meat has been seasoned, you should cover it and let it cook slowly. You should set the grill to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. You should also keep it turned on all the way until the meat is cooked through.

Finish it off
Take pork tenderloin, wipe it clean of excess fat with paper towels. Rub it with 1 Tablespoon sea salt, 1/4 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup lemon juice. Prepare the grill to medium-high heat. Arrange pork tenderloin on the grill. Grill for 8-12 minutes on each side, or until the pork reaches 145 F (63C). Remove from grill, let rest for 3-5 minutes and then slice pork tenderloin into 1/4-inch slices. Garnish with a lemon wedge and serve.
