How to make Hocks

How to Make Chicken Wings
Chicken wings are one of the most popular dishes when it comes to barbeque. But why? First, chicken wings are a great source of protein, which is critical for your body to maintain good health. The second reason that chicken wings are so popular is because they can be made quickly, and are relatively easy to cook. Chicken wings are often not cooked at a high temperature, so they retain their original texture, unlike some of the other parts of the chicken. To make chicken wings, you’ll first want to chop up the chicken into pieces. You’ll then want to heat up a pan, and fry the wings. You’ll want to heat the pan to medium heat, and then fry them on each side for about ten minutes. You’ll want to ensure that you watch the chicken wings carefully. You don’t want them to burn, or get too dark. The chicken wings can be cooked in vegetable oil, or other types of fats. The chicken should be cooked long enough to cook through, but should not be cooked too long. If you do this, you’ll end up with a rubbery chicken wing. So, you’ll want to fry the wings at about medium heat. You’ll want to fry them for about ten minutes on each side, and then let them rest. You’ll then want to serve them hot with lots of hot sauce.
How to Cook Pork Hocks
Cooking a whole pork hock is a little bit different from cooking other meats. In order to cook a pork hock, you need to roast it at a low temperature for a long time. Here are some instructions on how to cook a whole pork hock:
1) Preheat the oven to about 325.
2) Cut the hock into 2-3 inch pieces.
3) Season with salt and pepper and mix in the hock pieces into a large roasting pan.
4) Pour in enough water to just cover the meat in the pan.
5) Cook the hock for at least 3 to 4 hours.
6) Serve warm or at room temperature.
How to Make Beef Hocks
This is a time saving technique that yields a very flavorful, tender dish. Typically, hocks are cut from the shank portion of the leg and they can be boiled, smoked, or barbecued. The hocks are then picked over to remove the bones and the meat is usually used in stews, soups, or gravies. Pork hocks are usually much cheaper than beef hocks, but they work very well in stews.
