Frozen lobsters are typically stored in a large block of ice, which is kept at a very low temperature. This is to keep the lobsters frozen for as long as possible, but it is important to keep in mind that this means they are not very fresh. Because they are frozen, lobsters don’t need to be cooked first. Instead, you’re just going to defrost them in the microwave. To do this, simply put the frozen lobster in the microwave for about four minutes. As a side note, this is a safer option for cooking lobsters than cooking them on a grill, which can cause lobsters to explode from internal pressure. To cook them, you’ll need a large pot. Simply fill the pot with water until it’s about three inches above the lobsters. Bring the water to a boil over a high heat. Once the water is boiling, turn the heat down to low. Once the water is at a low boil, turn off the heat. Allow the lobsters to cook for about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the lobster. Make sure to check on the lobsters once or twice while they are cooking to ensure they don’t stick to the pot. Once the lobsters are cooked, they will be tender and pink. Drain the water and discard. Serve the lobster with salt and pepper.
