How long soak peas before cooking?

Do peas need to be soaked before cooking?
It’s truth, soak overnight is better than soaking overnight, especially for split peas. Splits take longer to cook than unsoak ones, which take only about 30 minutes to boil. And soaking is much easier than boiling. Soaking is best for splitting peas, though I wouldn’t recommend it for unpeeled peas either. If you’re using unrefined split pea flour, you’ll need to soak them overnight. Otherwise, boiled peas will take less time to do what you want them to. You can also use a pressure cooker to speed up the cooking process.
