* Frozen shrimps
* Fresh shrimps
The main difference is- Frozen shrimps are frozen shrimps. It means, you have to defrost it before cooking. Fresh shrimps are shrimps that you have to catch.
Shrimp Prep
You’ll need:
• Peel & devein shrimp
• Cut into 2-inch pieces
• Place in a shallow bowl
• Add ice and 1/2 cup of the liquid in the bottom of the bowl
• Let sit in the refrigerator for 1 hour
• Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the liquid
• Heat the shrimp on the stovetop over medium heat for 3 minutes
• Add the remaining 1/2 cup liquid to the shrimp
• Bring to a boil, then simmer for 3 to 4 minutes
• Remove from heat and add the reserved 1/2 cup liquid to the shrimp
• Let sit 5 minutes
• Add the butter to the shrimp and mix to coat
• Season with salt and pepper, then serve
