It’s Sunday morning. You have an incredibly busy day of work ahead of you, so you’re not exactly in the mood to cook. What’s a busy girl to do? She could do a bit of prepping for the week ahead and cook up some delicious dinners on her lunch break, but for this busy mom, that’s a bit of a hassle. Why not just use her favorite handy dandy electric pan? Yeah, it doesn’t quite solve the problem of a busy life, but it certainly makes things easier.
Basic Chicken Cooking
Sometimes, the old ways are the best. When cooking chicken, you want to avoid using a microwave or a griddle. These methods can cause uneven cooking, and are not effective at cooking chicken. Instead, you should use a pan. Start with a cast iron pan for a nice, even heat. This type of pan does not conduct heat, so you will not have to deal with hot spots. Additionally, you should cook the chicken low and slow. This method will yield a tender, juicy chicken, with crispy skin. A classic marinade is a great way to flavor the chicken. Try using garlic and honey, or a mixture of soy sauce, lime juice, and paprika. When you’re done cooking the chicken, remove it from the pan and place it on a plate to rest.
Basic Fried Chicken
While some people like to cook their chicken in the oven, it is not necessary to do so. There are plenty of ways to fry chicken, including in a pan or on the grill. These are all great ways to cook chicken, but there are a few things you should know. First, it’s important to pat the chicken dry before cooking. This will prevent the chicken from sticking to the pan. Once the chicken is dried, it’s time to season it. Many people will want to season their chicken with salt and pepper, but if you use too much, the chicken will become too salty. Instead, use just a pinch of salt and pepper. Then, let the chicken rest after you’ve added the seasoning. If you have high-quality oil, the chicken will absorb the oil as it sits. This will prevent the oil from floating to the top of the chicken and creating a greasy mess on your stove. To get the best results, it’s important to fry the chicken in a pan or on the stovetop. This method is great for the chicken’s skin and for people who prefer to fry their chicken this way.
Chicken Meatballs
One of the first foods that people make when they have a moment of free time is chicken meatballs. These tasty morsels can be a big hit for most households. It’s easy to make chicken meatballs. First, you will need to boil a pot of water. After the water has come to a boil, you can add chicken. You want to use chicken meatballs made with breast meat. Once the chicken is cooked, you can let it cool for a few minutes. After the chicken has cooled, you will need to pound it into a smooth paste. The rest is just mixing the chicken meatballs. You can then place them on a pan and cook them on high heat.
Chicken on the grill
This is a quick and easy method for cooking chicken on the grill. Take two chicken breasts, about 6 to 8 inches long and 3/4 of an inch thick. I usually cut the breasts in half. Also, cut the ends of the breasts off, so that they are completely flat. Place the breasts into a medium sized grill pan. I like to use a pan with short legs, so that the chicken breasts don’t stick to the grill. This way, the chicken will be easier to flip. Coat the breasts with olive oil, salt and pepper. You can also use barbecue sauce, mustard, or other flavorings to taste. Don’t let the chicken soak in the seasonings or marinade. Grill for about five minutes per side. Remember that a grill will not cook food fast, so it’s best to make sure that you’re prepared to finish the chicken on the grill. If you’re cooking for one, this method will take about 15 minutes per side. If you’re cooking for two or more people, this method will take approximately 30 minutes per side.
