I love chicken gizzards. It’s one of my favorite foods. But when it comes to cooking them, I find it difficult and time consuming. I could spend hours trying to figure out how to cook chicken gizzards. I have tried simmering them in broth, adding lemon juice to enhance the flavor and using different spices to change the flavor. But none of them worked. Here is my method to cook chicken gizzards tender.
What is Gizzards?
Gizzards are the parts of the chickens that don’t make it into the chicken carcass. These parts are typically cooked and eaten. It’s also possible to use gizzards in a dish such as chili. To cook gizzards, season them with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Then, cook the gizzards in a skillet for about 15 minutes. To ensure that the chicken gizzards remain tender, do not overcook them.
How to Make Gizzards Tender
To make gizzards tender, add salt and spices to your gizzards. Sprinkle with salt on the outside and pepper inside. Put the gizzards in a baking dish and cook at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Add spices to the gizzards, such as pepper, salt, paprika, and other spices. Take gizzards out of the oven and add a little olive oil and lemon juice. Serve.
