If you are using the dehydrated meat, you should refrigerate it for 2 weeks before using it. Once you open the package, all the moisture will evaporate. So, don’t open it too soon or you’ll have a dry meat. Also, if the packages are opened too early, any moisture might get trapped inside the packaging and cause the product to become rancid. This is why you want to keep the products sealed.

However, if your cat or dog is overweight, make sure to get them on a low-fat diet. Low-calorie foods are best for cats and dogs.

If you only have one dehydator, this is the best way to do it. But if there are multiple dehydators, I would recommend using a dehydger that has a temperature control.
