Tri-tip is a cut of meat from the bottom rib area of the cow. This is usually known as bottom round. When cooking a tri-tip, first pat dry the meat and season with salt and pepper. Heat an oven to 350 degrees and drizzle olive oil and olive oil. Place the tri-tip into the oil and sear on all sides until the tri-tip is browned. Let the tri-tip cook for an hour and a half and then place in a 350 oven for an hour and a half. Let it rest for 10 minutes and then slice.
How To Make it in a Slow Oven
As I mentioned above, cooking tri tip is actually a pretty simple process. The method for cooking tri tip is similar to cooking a steak. In this case, the goal is to cook the tri tip until it’s almost fully cooked and then let it rest for a few minutes. That’s the key to getting a crispy, flavorful tri tip. The most important thing is to make sure to wait until the tri tip has reached an internal temperature of 150F. Start cooking the tri tip at an internal temperature of 150F, about 10-12 minutes. Then lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees, and cook it for another 40 minutes. If you don’t cook the tri tip long enough, it’s possible the tri tip will be overdone and tough. The cooked tri tip should be lightly brown and look caramelized. This means that the fat has gotten crispy and is cooking just a little. As you can see above, I cooked the tri tip in a slow oven for an hour and a half. It ended up cooking just like the picture above, but this is only if you don’t overcook it. If you overcook it, the tri tip will be tough and chewy.

How to Make Baked Spiced Tri-Tip
It is important to know the ideal temperature for cooking meat. The ideal cooking temperature for meat is between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Try to make sure your oven is at this temperature. If you aren’t sure what temperature your oven is set to, try putting a meat thermometer into the meat. You can also find a thermometer at the local grocery store. Cooking meat properly will help prevent bacteria from forming. The easiest way to keep the meat safe to eat is to wrap the meat in foil and then place in a ziploc bag. Finally, don’t cook your meat if it has spoiled. Some species of bacteria can survive in meat that is past its expiration date, so it’s best to throw out meat that has an off smell.
