Place the fillet on a baking sheet lined with foil. Brush it with oil and sprinkle with a small amount of salt. Then bake it for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and season with salt and pepper. You can also cook it in the microwave for 6-8 minutes.

After you have taken the salmon fillet out of the fridge, put it on a plate and let it come to room temperature. Once you are ready to cook the fish, you will need to remove the skin and silver skin. To remove the skin and silver skin, put your fish fillet on a cutting board and with the palm of your hand make a round indentation on the back of the fish. Make sure that the indentation goes from the head of the fish to the tail. Next, cut down both sides of the fish so that you have a round or oval-shaped fillet. Be careful not to cut into the tail. Before you start to cook the salmon fillet, it is a good idea to cut out the cavity of the fillet. This helps to keep the rest of the fish from leaking.
