Roast Beef Recipe
The first thing to do is to thaw the beef by placing it in the fridge for about 24 hours. Once thawed, take the beef out of the refrigerator and cut it into 3 to 4 inch wide strips, then place them in a colander to drain for 10 minutes. Next, take the beef out of the colander and pat it dry with a paper towel. To start cooking the beef, preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Spray a roasting pan with non-stick cooking spray. Put the beef in the roasting pan and toss it around to spread the spices evenly. Next, sprinkle a teaspoon of salt and pepper on top of the beef and place it in the oven. Bake the beef for about 15 minutes per pound, turning the beef halfway through. While the beef is cooking, mix the garlic powder and ground black pepper together in a small bowl. When the beef is finished, remove it from the oven and pour the melted butter into the pan. Sprinkle the garlic powder and pepper mixture over the top. Now take the beef out of the pan and place it on a serving platter. Serve the beef and garnish with the bread crumbs.
Best Time to Cook a Beef Roast
It’s important to cook a beef roast in the best time. The best time to cook a beef roast is after 6 hours of cooking time, and 4 hours before the roast is done. The reason for this is that the meat’s protein starts to break down, and begins to be tender, around this time. When cooking a beef roast, you should remember that most of the cooking time should be covered by the resting time. This is the time when the meat becomes tender, and when the cooking juices flow out of the roast. By setting the oven timer, you can make sure that the meat is resting, before the timer goes off. This way, you’re less likely to overcook the roast.
