How to Use Your Model
But many of us remember the days before modeling clay. The plastic material was stinky and sticky, and it was almost impossible to cut. Plus, you couldn’t really get good clean edges. Now that modeling clay has changed for the better, you can actually use it for art and craft projects. Nowadays, modeling clay is also really easy to work with. Plus, it’s no longer sticky and smelly. The bad part is that modeling clay is still really hard to cut cleanly. But if you’re determined to learn how to use modeling clay, then we’re here to help.
How to Un-mold
Once you have baked your modeling clay it is time to un-mold. In order to do this you first need to flatten out the side with the lid. This is the side where the clay has become puffy, and is no longer able to be flattened. Next, use the pallet knife to remove the clay from the molds. Once the clay is free, carefully flip it over and remove the lid. The clay is now ready to be cut into pieces. To cut the clay into pieces, place the clay on a piece of parchment paper and cut around the molds.
