How to Cook Whole Potatoes
Cooking potatoes in a pan is simple. You just need to fill the pan with water and put it on the stove. However, many people don’t know how to cook potatoes in the air fryer. The secret is to use the low, indirect heat. For this process, you need to cut the potatoes in half. Also, make sure that you drain the water from the pot before you cook them. When you put the potatoes in the air fryer, don’t put them all in at once. Spread them out in an even layer so that they cook evenly. Remember that the cooking time will be different for every potato. This is why it is recommended to cook them in batches. Be sure to turn them halfway through. Once they are done, remove them from the air fryer. You can serve them with melted butter or a squeeze of lemon.
The Benefits of Whole Potatoes
This method of cooking potatoes is much healthier than traditional methods. It uses just about 10% of the oil as traditional methods, and it doesn’t require any deep frying. Plus, the potatoes are perfectly cooked with very little oil. Not only are they much healthier, but they’re also much easier to clean. To air fry whole potatoes, cut them into a single large potato. Place the potatoes in a paper bag or similar container, and then put the bag in a microwave. Microwave the bag for about 5 minutes. The potato should begin to float. After the 5 minutes are up, remove the bag from the microwave and let the potatoes cool. They can then be picked off of the bag and placed on a paper towel to drain.
