The shot glass measure is crucial to determine whether a shot has enough alcohol to get you drunk. You’ll know for sure whether you’ve had enough alcohol when you start getting a buzz. If you have a shot glass that is one shot, that will contain approximately 2.8 ounces of spirits. If your shot glass is a two shot glass, that will contain approximately 5.7 ounces of spirits. If your shot glass is a six shot glass, that will contain approximately 13.4 ounces of spirits. If your shot glass is a twelve shot glass, that will contain approximately 27 ounces of spirits.

Shot glasses have been used for a number of years. Since there are a limited amount of them, and they are not very useful, most bars and restaurants will reuse them. It is estimated that a popular American bar will reuse 860 shot glasses per year. That works out to about 13 shots a month per bar. Since there are 2.5 drinks per shot, that would mean that each bar will reuse about $4,744 worth of shot glasses per year. In 2010, America bought about $6 billion worth of shot glasses. That is equivalent to about $4,600 per person.
