Cold brews have been one of my favorite beverages for quite a while now. I love the rich flavor that they offer, especially if you make the right ratios of coffee to milk or water. While I used to like a big shot of espresso, I’ve come to appreciate cold brew in its purest form. The best cold brews are made with freshly ground coffee beans and steeped in cold water. When it comes to how much caffeine is in a cold brew, it’s important to pay attention to the coffee/water ratio. A classic ratio of 3 parts coffee to 1 part water, like I like to use, means that there are about 40 milligrams of caffeine per 8-ounce cup. If you want to be more precise, you can just use a good coffee thermometer to measure out the exact amount of water needed.

What Is Cold Brew?
Cold brew is a type of coffee that is extracted using cold temperature. It is less acidic than regular coffee and is often less bitter. Cold brew is especially popular in the summer time because it’s more refreshing. Cold brew can also help you reduce the amount of caffeine you consume. Cold brew contains less caffeine than regular coffee, and it’s made with coffee beans that are already ground. Because coffee beans are ground, they contain less caffeine than whole beans. This makes cold brew perfect to drink outside in the summer.
