Career
Daugherty joined Aston Villa in May 1905 from local amateur side Chasetown, and was a first-team regular at right-half for the next three seasons. He made his debut on 4 September 1905 in a First Division match at The Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion. Villa went on to win 2-1, with goals from Lawton (2) and Cowell, but lost the next week in the return fixture. Daugherty remained at Villa until he joined Birmingham St George’s in June 1908.
