Fruits of the spirit are virtues which consist of moral qualities that glorify God. Fruits of the Spirit are a measure of a believer’s character and help to distinguish him from the world.
Love
What is love?
[Notes]: Love is an intense feeling of attraction and affection towards another person, often accompanied by caring and sharing. Love is often represented in art and literature.
Faith
Faith can be defined as the belief in or reliance on the existence of a power or powers that influence human destiny and action. With that said, I believe that all humans have the ability to have a relationship with God that benefits us in our daily lives. In fact, the Bible tells us that all who belong to God will be complete. God has a plan for each and everyone of us, and we can have faith that the Lord has our best interest at heart. People that choose to follow God’s will are the true saints. If you’re interested in getting to know God better, I would encourage you to come to God’s Word and find out more about Him.
Hope
The first fruit of the Spirit is hope.
The first type of hope that God is talking about is hope for our eternal destiny. This hope is the main motivation for most Christians, because it motivates us to live a life of obedience to God. This hope comes from the realization that the Christian is not doomed to an eternal separation from God. Many people will ask, what happens if you sin, or if you fail to be perfect? There is a hope, because we know that Jesus died for us on the cross. This means that we can be reconciled to God through his blood. There is a hope for us. Hope for our eternal destiny is the main motivation for Christians.
Anger
Anger is one of the seven sins and refers to a bodily emotion, often accompanied by hostility and tension. Anger often manifests as hatred or resentment toward others and refers to a malicious feeling that is usually expressed as a hostile or destructive act against another person.
Peace
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There are many ways that these five characteristics are lived out in your life, and they are also given to us by Jesus when He said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” We often tend to think of these traits as being associated with a Christian life, but they are actually what we are born with, and it is because of our Creator that we have these traits. Sometimes it can feel like we are lacking these characteristics because we do not know how to live in peace. We do not know how to love or how to give joy to someone else. We do not know how to have patience, and we do not know how to have self-control. We can have many of these characteristics in our lives, but it will be as if we are born with the fruit of the Spirit, and not the fruit that we have put on.
