We found out that the average smoker was smoking up to five pounds of smoked turkey wings a week, at a cost of about $30 a pound. Although that’s a lot of wings, you could save yourself the money and just smoke up to a pound a week. Well, the first step is to actually decide how long to cook the wings. If you are planning on cooking your wings on the barbecue, it is going to cook faster than a regular oven. The temperature is going to be about 200 degrees Fahrenheit. If you want to cook your wings in a regular oven, it’s going to take a bit longer. It’s recommended to cook your wings at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.

We found that the first batch of wings were done at 5 minutes and the second batch at 4 minutes. The wings are then finished in the oven for 10 minutes. This is the method of roasting them without the use of external heat. These wings are perfect for parties and barbeques, as you can either serve them raw or cooked. Let’s go through how to smoke the best chicken wings: Ingredients 1 pound chicken wings 1 gallon water 1 tablespoon molasses 2 teaspoons liquid smoke 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lime juice 1 teaspoon garlic salt Preheat oven to 220 degrees F. Place the wings in a large, shallow baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap. Roast for 30 minutes. Remove the plastic wrap and roast for 30 minutes more. Remove from the oven. In a bowl, combine the lime juice, molasses, liquid smoke, garlic salt and 2 teaspoons water. Stir well. Pour over the wings, tossing them to coat. Cover with a layer of aluminum foil. Return the dish to the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven. Pour the rest of the liquid into a saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce by half. Remove the saucepan from heat and set aside to cool. Remove the wings from the oven. Transfer to a plate. Pour the cooled liquid over the wings, tossing to coat. Put the wings back in the oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the skin is crispy. Remove from the oven and serve.
