Cook on a medium heat for about 15 minutes on each side. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature. I would recommend using a meat thermometer if you don’t have a thermometer. And you should make sure to flip the chops at least once. And take the skillet off the heat when the meat reaches 145 degrees. The top of the meat should be nicely browned. This is when you can safely move the pork chops to a serving plate.
How long should you cook pork chops
One of the most common mistakes that people make with pork chops is that they cook them too long. A pork chop usually takes about 20-25 minutes to cook. You want to cook them until they reach 165 degrees and have reached a nice brown color. This will help keep the pork chops moist, and give you an opportunity to make your own flavor. Use your senses to check if your pork chops are done. You should smell them. If they smell good, then they are done. Also, check the edges of the pork chop for a nice brown color.
