Lastly, you can either leave the chicken in the slow cooker for 6 to 8 hours or you can leave the chicken in the slow cooker for 4 to 6 hours.

The ideal temperature of your chicken is 375° F / 190° C. This is a temperature that is known as a blood temperature. This is a temperature where a chicken’s blood begins to boil. This is the ideal temperature to cook your chicken. But as you can see, a meat thermometer is a helpful tool to ensure that your chicken is cooked to the ideal temperature. There are different types of meat thermometers, but one of the most popular is a digital thermometer. Digital thermometers have a built-in probe. This can be inserted into your chicken and the temperature displayed on the screen. This makes it much easier to see the temperature of the chicken.
