I’ve got my kids down to eat 2 meals a day, the other two are prepared by me. I have a really busy schedule and I don’t have a lot of time to cook, so I try to be efficient and cook a whole bunch of food at the same time. I want to cook a roast so it’s ready when the kids come home. I’ve decided to cook a 4 pound roast. This will be enough for my kids to have for dinner that night and we’ll eat some of it for lunch the next day. I know the roast will take about 30-40 minutes to cook, so I’ll have to set the timer for 50 minutes and then check on it every 5-10 minutes. The roast needs to be done at least 50 minutes so it’s piping hot in the center. I’m pretty sure it will be done within 50 minutes but I’ll let it go and check it a few more times.
