How To Cook Cod
Cod, also known as haddock, ling, and codling is a common fish in the North Atlantic Ocean. This fish is an oily fish, which means it’s high in omega-3 fatty acids. Eating too much of this fish can lead to a higher risk of heart disease. Cod is also a source of protein, calcium, phosphorus, selenium and vitamin D. Cooking cod takes less than 10 minutes, depending on the size of the fish. Start by slicing off the head and the fins. Next, rinse the fish under cold water. Then, place the fish in a saucepan. Pour in 2 inches of water and then a sprinkle of salt. Bring the water to a boil, then turn off the heat. Cover the pan and let the fish simmer for 10 minutes.
