How To Keep Bacon Fresh
We’ve all done it at least once, opened the refrigerator at the end of the day, and gone through all the food inside looking for something to snack on. Bacon is one of the foods that people often reach for because it’s quick and easy to eat. Unfortunately, bacon is one of the foods that spoils the quickest. You can easily make sure that your bacon stays fresh by storing it properly. To keep bacon fresh, store it in the fridge. Since the fridge temperature should be kept at approximately 41 degrees Fahrenheit, store your bacon in the coldest part of your refrigerator. Try to keep it away from strong smells, such as onion and garlic. Bacon should last up to three to four days in the fridge. But if you notice that your bacon is getting moldy, throw it out! Bacon can be dried out if it goes without refrigeration for too long. Try storing your bacon in a paper bag in the refrigerator for at least four hours. This should keep it fresh for up to three days.

How Long Can Bacon Stay In The Refrigerator?
Of course, bacon is a thing that people have a love-hate relationship with. People either love bacon, or hate it. But bacon is a great snack to keep around the house, especially when you’re looking to curb your appetite. Bacon is usually a high calorie item, which means it should be kept in the refrigerator. This is not a recommendation for the sake of keeping it warm for a while. If you do happen to eat some bacon that has been sitting around, for too long, then it’s a good idea to reheat it. There is a small difference in taste if you reheat it, but there are better ways to heat bacon. You can place it in a microwave safe dish, and heat it in the microwave for a few minutes, or boil it in a skillet, for a few minutes.
Bacon In The Freezer?
Bacon in the freezer should be kept as close to the refrigerator as possible. In the freezer, the fat on the bacon tends to solidify. When that happens, it can create an icy layer that can inhibit air circulation, and cause freezer burn. However, bacon in the freezer can also be kept for quite some time. The longer it’s stored in the freezer, the better. When bacon is stored in the freezer for a long period of time, it tends to lose a lot of its original flavor.
