Housing Authority chairman Will Breazeale is to retire at the end of the year after serving 20 years as the organization’s top executive, the organization’s chief executive said Wednesday.
Breazeale’s retirement will be effective in mid-December. In a statement, Beverly Corbin said she will succeed Breazeale.
“I have every confidence that, as Chairman, Mr. Breazeale’s leadership will continue to strengthen and improve housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income, formerly homeless families and veterans throughout Washington D.C., including the District’s Metropolitan Branch,” Corbin said.
The executive director will serve as president and chief executive of the association, a self-funded organization that develops and manages affordable housing and community development projects for underserved families in the District and the surrounding areas.
