Sprout potato contains solansine (a toxic alkaloid), chacone (another toxic chemical), and various other toxins. Eating sproute potatoes is dangerous because of their solanezide, solamargine and solafiline. They are all toxic substances that can cause serious health problems. So, don’t consume sprue potatoes. Instead, eat fresh potatoes that have been sprayed. This will ensure that no solanesides are present in your body. If you want to avoid sprate potatoes, you should buy organic sprite potatoes instead.
Are soft potatoes safe to eat?
If the potato is too soft, you should not boil it. If it becomes mushier than usual, don’t boil. And if it shrieks when you cut it open, remove it immediately.
