How to cook at home
Pork ribs are a great thing to cook at home. They have a lot of flavor and are really easy to cook. You can cook them in the oven, in the stove top, or on the grill. They can be sauteed, slow cooked, or barbecued. Depending on how you cook them, you can either have them for dinner or serve them as part of a feast. You’ll need to buy a pig’s rib for the best results, but it’s a cheap cut and a great thing to cook.
How to cook without oil
Cooking without oil is a good method to reduce fat and calories. You can use any combination of seasonings and spices to flavor pork ribs. The easiest way to prepare pork ribs is to marinade the ribs in a combination of spices. Start by mixing your own rub. Add equal parts salt, pepper and whatever spices that you like. Follow by adding just a bit of water and rub the mixture into the pork. The best way to marinade is to soak the pork in the mixture for at least 12 hours. After you’ve marinated the pork, cook it in the oven or on the grill. You can either grill it whole or use individual ribs. You can cook the pork ribs in a low temperature for about an hour. If you’d like, you can serve the ribs with sauce or other side dishes.
Sauce options
Whenever I am cooking pork ribs, I typically use three types of sauces. I like to use a bbq sauce, barbecue sauce and a sweet glaze. The bbq sauce is great for flavoring the pork ribs. The barbecue sauce adds flavor and color to the ribs. The sweet glaze helps add moisture and additional flavor to the pork ribs.
How to serve pork ribs
To serve pork ribs, you’ll need a pair of tongs. Place the ribs on a cutting board or serving platter, cover them with a sheet of foil and let them sit for about 15 minutes, or until they’re no longer raw. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels or a clean cloth, and season them lightly with salt and pepper. Now heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat and sear the ribs for about a minute on each side. Serve the ribs with barbecue sauce, if desired.

Since ribs are so versatile and forgiving, you can easily use a number of seasonings to vary the flavor of your ribs. If you want a more traditional flavor, try rubbing some salt on the meat and covering it with a dry rub. And for a spicy kick, try stirring together some hot sauce and some paprika. For some flavor from the outside, put the ribs into a pressure cooker.
