There are a number of foods that will give you energy when you are tired. Some of them are very common, but you may not know about others. Here are a few of them.
Coffee
Caffeine is a chemical found in coffee beans that has the effect of stimulating the central nervous system. This means that caffeine causes your brain to function better. Coffee is a popular beverage because it contains caffeine, but it can also contain other substances that have the same effect. For instance, tea also contains caffeine, but it also contains theanine, which can be beneficial to your brain. Similarly, some supplements contain caffeine, such as Ginkgo biloba, which is a common herb used to treat memory issues. However, it should be noted that caffeine in its pure form can cause dehydration and insomnia. But, there are several coffee options out there that are safe and will give you a healthy boost of energy, without negative side effects.
Grapes
Natural energy is best but to boost it more, consuming berries, foods containing berries, and foods that are rich in vitamin C can help. It is a fact that by using the right foods, you can get rid of fatigue and boost your energy levels. It is a natural fruit that can give your body the energy it needs for most of the day. Eating a cup of berries after a long day will help you to feel energized again and reduce your chances of falling asleep in the middle of the day.
Potato
If you’re running low on energy, look to your diet. Avoiding sugary and fatty foods is key for refueling your body. A potato is a good source of carbohydrates and fiber, which can help you stay full and have sustained energy throughout your day. Additionally, the carbohydrates in potatoes can be digested easily, so they won’t cause stomach problems.
Food For Fatigue
Often when we are tired we reach for food that provides quick energy. These foods typically come in the form of sugary, salty foods. But you should be careful of how much of these foods you eat because they are high in calories, which you don’t need when you’re feeling tired. Instead, try to eat foods that will help your body to recover energy. This includes the following:
• Eggs – when you are tired, your body’s reaction is to use energy to repair your body instead of producing energy. This is why you often feel sleepy after eating. Eggs are a great source of protein, which is needed for the repair of your body.
• Berries – this is especially true for blueberries and strawberries. These foods contain a compound called quercetin, which is a natural energy booster.
• Nuts – walnuts and almonds are an excellent source of energy. These foods have been shown to increase energy levels in the body.
• Milk – milk contains vitamins and minerals that are needed for your energy levels.
Yogurt
Yogurt is great for promoting overall health and may help you gain energy. According to a recent study published in the journal Food and Function, some of the energy found in yogurt comes from the Bifidobacterium, a type of bacteria that produces a type of short-chain fatty acid. The bacteria in yogurt are said to help fight off stomach ulcers and may improve the immune system.
