Dunkin Donuts recently settled wage theft charges in San Francisco, which could impact future wage claims in California. The company had been accused of underpaying its workers for years, and a class action lawsuit was filed. In the settlement, the company agreed to pay $3.75 million, and made more than $36 million available for back wages and interest. The settlement also requires a daily tip reporting system for all employees at all stores, and no employee can be paid less than $9.00 per hour. The average wage for an employee at a Dunkin Donuts location is $10.84 per hour.
