It is not uncommon for employees to work up to 60 hours a week, with workers earning as little as $6.13 per hour.
Can Dunkin Donuts Charged More for Delivery Service?
A few years ago, Dunkin Donuts began a trial program to try to increase the amount of tips their employees get. After all, if employees get paid more, they can buy more coffee for the customers. Dunkin Donuts had partnered with the upstart company Postmates, which is a similar app to Uber, to experiment with the program. To test it, Dunkin Donuts selected 1,000 of their stores in 50 states and had all of their employees participate. The stores were then chosen at random, and after the trial period, customers’ tips were compared to what they were before the trial period. The results showed that stores that participated in the program did get a benefit of customers spending more. And stores that did not participate in the program did not see any benefit. The stores that did not participate were much more likely to get tips that were lower than what customers normally tipped. This shows that these stores missed out on a lot of money. In the end, the results showed that participating in the program did increase tips, and that participating stores saw a benefit. However, other stores did not. So, whether or not participating in the program will actually increase tips is not certain.

Dunkin Donuts hires a lot of delivery drivers to help keep up with the demand. With a lot of places to shop, families rely on delivery drivers to help deliver their orders quickly and conveniently. Most work with one of the big fast food chains that delivers. Delivery drivers typically work one day a week and make an hourly wage plus commission. But we still think that it’s a very low wage. This is a considerable amount of money, so it is definitely worth it to apply.
