How To Make a Hot Chilli
You can buy hot chilli powder in the grocery store, but making your own is pretty easy. First, find a can of tomato paste, which will contain the oil in which the chilli is cooked. Next, open the can and squeeze the oil out. Add this oil to a saucepan, along with one medium sized red onion. Then, add one medium sized diced red bell pepper. Also add one small chopped red chilli. Add the tomato paste to the pan, and the tomato paste will add the tomato flavour. Lastly, add some water, and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and serve with some tortilla chips.
How To Make Nachos
Typically nachos can be found as a part of a larger meal, but at least one restaurant is taking them a step further by creating nachos as a standalone appetizer. Chicago’s Max’s Wine Dive is now offering nachos as an appetizer to their dining menu. They are served in a tortilla shell and then topped with refried beans, jack cheese, avocado, jalapenos, and salsa. The restaurant is currently offering this appetizer for $12, which is a $3 premium over their regular nachos.
