When chocolate is too cold, it feels hard. When it’s too hot, it will become soft and wobbly. If you want to melt chocolate, simply put it in a bowl of hot water. Do not put it on the stove, as it will not melt.
What happens when chocolate melts?
When chocolate melts, the sugar and fat in the chocolate begin to dissolve, separating from the rest of the chocolate. Because the sugar and fat are lighter than the chocolate, they begin to rise to the top. This causes the chocolate to separate into layers. Chunks of chocolate that have dissolved can start to taste bitter.

Put something else on top of the pan to hold it down but don’t put too much weight on top of it. Wait for the chocolate to start to melt. How To Make Chocolate Melting Spoons
While most people know that chocolate melts when heated, they may not know that chocolate melts faster when you stir it. To make chocolate melting spoons, start by making a double boiler. Find a saucepan that fits in your microwave and has a small oven-safe bowl on top. Fill the pan with enough water to come up halfway. Make sure there is enough space for the bowl to fit on top of the saucepan. Make sure the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the saucepan. Put the bowl on top of the saucepan. This is your double boiler. Put in your chocolate in the bowl and stir constantly. If you don’t have a kitchen timer, keep an eye on the mixture. If the chocolate looks as if it’s starting to melt, it is ready. Take the bowl off the saucepan and pour the chocolate on a baking sheet. Let it set for a few minutes. Cut the chocolate into shapes and place on a cookie sheet.
