How to Cook Canned Green Beans

When you cook canned green beans, you get a great flavor and texture. If you do it right, you won’t need to add anything to the beans, and they’ll come out ready to eat. To get the best flavor, cook the beans in a slow cooker for about six hours on low. Add two tablespoons of olive oil and about two teaspoons of kosher salt. Add the beans to the crockpot, and turn the heat to high. Cook until the beans start to get tender and are beginning to break apart. At this point, turn the heat to low and let the beans cook for about 30 minutes. The beans will continue to get softer as they cook, and will be ready when they’re soft but not mushy.
