Candied Nuts With Orange Zest
Candied pecans have a lovely warm and sweet flavor and a beautiful golden color. And they look like something straight out of a candy store! These candied nuts are also super easy to make, but they do require a few different ingredients and a bit of time. The first step is to make your pecans. You can do this by either shelling them or peeling them. You can also finely chop them for an easier candying. Next, you’ll want to place your pecans in a medium saucepan over medium heat and cover them with water. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook the pecans for one hour, stirring occasionally. Once they’re done, you’ll want to drain them and place them in a medium mixing bowl. Next, you’ll want to add the sugar to the bowl and toss them to coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the pecans cool in the refrigerator for a few hours.
