Here are some pics of my new toy, this girl is a part wolf part goldendoodle. This is my 5th dog! Currently she is about 4 months old and is weighing in at 40lbs. She has a beautiful coat and seems to love getting outdoors. She is great around the house and gets along with my friends dog. She has started showing interest in other dogs now and is starting to get social. She is healthy and playful but is still young so it will be interesting to see how she develops. She is my third girl and not a pedigree so was cheap to get. She is a lefty and was born with a limp. Both hips are fine but her left leg is very slow to heal and is a lot weaker than her right. I am not sure if she will have to be operated on but we are going to keep her for a little while so she can be given the chance to heal.
The History of Goldendoodle
This is a goldendoodle. And it’s not very old. The first one was born in 2001 and named Pixy. But that wasn’t the first goldendoodle born. That first goldendoodle was born in 1945 and named Goldie. So, you could say that goldendoodles are quite old. Goldendoodles have a long history. They were bred by Australian breeders in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Goldendoodles tend to look like fox terriers with some dachshund in them. You might also notice that they have a lot of fox in them. According to the American Kennel Club, the first goldendoodle was called Pixy. And this is because she was born on the “Pixie,” an Australian cattle dog. Goldie was then born in the next few months. Goldie was then bred to a terrier. And she was called Goldendoodle. Goldendoodles are now recognized by the American Kennel Club. This makes them a part of the Canine family. But goldendoodles are a hybrid and part terrier, part dachshund. So, you can see that there’s a lot of fox in there too.
