I love salad but I also like my fruit so I wanted to put together a salad that has both of those things, apple pecan salad with apple slices, bacon and candied pecans.

Pan Fried Apple Peanut Butter

Ingredients:
2 medium sized Gala apples, cored and cut into 1/4 inch wedges
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1 cup spelt berries
2 tablespoons homemade peanut butter
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
sea salt to taste
Method:
1. Add 1 cup of water to a large skillet. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium low. Add the apples to the water and cover. Allow to cook for about 5 minutes or until apples are soft. Set aside.
2. Add spelt berries to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes. Set aside.
3. Add spelt berries and apples to a bowl and set aside.
4. Add the peanut butter, cinnamon, and salt to the skillet and mix until combined.
5. Add the spelt berries and apples to the skillet and toss to combine.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
