Then one day, I started asking my mom to make spaghetti for me. I ended up becoming a big fan of spaghetti squash. Not only does it taste delicious, but it’s also a low-calorie food that makes you feel full. How to Wash One
Wash spaghetti squash in cold water and let it soak for about 30 minutes. Remove the squash from the water, and use a clean, dry dish towel to pat it dry. Cut the squash in half lengthwise, and then scoop out the seeds using a large spoon. Remove any excess string and cut the squash into 1-inch pieces, saving the rest for another use. To wash the squash, use clean, cold water to dip it into and give it a spin in a bowl or sink filled with cold water. Once the squash is cleaned, place it in the microwave and cook on high for 3 to 4 minutes. You can use a microwave-safe bowl, but if your bowl is ceramic, it may be best to replace it with another bowl that you can use in the microwave and dishwasher. Once the squash is cooked, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and enjoy.

If you like spaghetti squash, it’s very easy to prepare. Just cut the squash in half and remove the seeds. Then brush with some oil and sprinkle with salt. Cook it over a medium heat for about 20 minutes, or until it is soft. When the squash is soft, you can start using it as a substitute for spaghetti. You can even add spices or whatever you like. You can also make it into a dessert. For that, cut the squash in half and hollow out the inside. Fill it with whatever you like, and add some marshmallow fluff or whipped cream. You can make it sweet or savory. Or you can just enjoy it as a healthy side dish.

The Origin of Spaghetti Squash
During the five centuries or so that spaghettis were around, they were first made from wheat and later from other grains like maize. But only since the early twentieth century did the spaghettis become a familiar, easy and cheap source of pasta. And we eat it everyday, as a substitute of regular pasta and in other dishes. Many people, however, hate this dish. For some, they think that it’s hard to cook and tastes bland. Others complain that it is too hard to digest. This dish is actually relatively simple to make and has few ingredients.
Spaghetti Squash Cooking Tip
When buying a spaghetti squash, try to select one that is soft and has a dark green color. Look for a squash that is more than 3/4 of the way through the growing season. This will ensure that the spaghetti squash is at least ripe when you begin to cook it. Store the spaghetti squash in a cool, dark place for up to 4 days. If the spaghetti squash is not ripe when you begin to cook it, the squash will likely turn to mush and ruin the dish. To remove the seeds, just cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds and discard them. Add spaghetti squash to a large pot of water and bring the water to a boil. Reduce the heat and let the squash simmer for 20 minutes. Drain the spaghetti squash in a colander and season with salt and pepper.
