How to Make Candied Pecans?
Add 2 cups of pecans to a pot of boiling water and boil them for 15 minutes. Strain the water, and in a bowl add 6 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar. In a separate bowl add 1/3 cup of water and 1/3 cup of corn syrup. Mix them together. Put the pecans back into the pot and add the sugar mixture. Let the mixture boil for 1 hour or until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat, and add the vanilla extract. Put the pot back on the stove and pour into greased 8×8 inch pan. Let the candied pecans cool for 15 minutes, and serve them.
