How To Make a Slow Cooker Ranchero

The night is coming… or should I say, it’s almost time for our annual get-together with our friends in town. We don’t have to drive in from our remote ranch, and we don’t have to worry about driving home afterwards, because we’ll be staying in the same spot. It’s tradition for everyone to make this signature dish of mine. It’s a sweet and savory dish that really just takes me back to my childhood. We’re a Mexican family and the flavors of my home are really well-represented in this recipe. Our family gatherings have been going on for a long time, and every time we have a get-together, my mother or I make this dish. We don’t need to have the recipe written down, because it’s really just a tradition, and we know how to make it without a recipe.

Homemade Salsa

Whether you’re eating Mexican or not, if you’re going to make this recipe, make it the best. The best way to make salsa is to buy the fresh vegetables and peppers. Cutting these veggies yourself reduces the chances of getting the ingredients contaminated with chemicals and pesticides. To make the salsa yourself, you’ll need tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, cilantro, and garlic. While some people leave the pepper out, the jalapeño and pepper help give the salsa a kick. For most people, their preference is to put them on top of the salsa. Some people also like to add lime juice and other condiments. The last thing you want to do is to let the salsa sit for too long or it will start to separate.
