To make cornish pasties, you will need the following ingredients: Cornish shortcrust pastry, all purpose flour, brown sugar, potato, olive oil, onion, leek, and salt. To make the shortcrust pastry, you will need the following ingredients: all purpose flour, butter, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. To make the dough, you need to cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the flour and salt. Stir the ingredients together with a fork until the mixture forms a ball. Roll the ball of dough out into a circle between 1/4-inch thick and 1-inch wide. Remove the dough from the fridge and place a generous amount of potato in the middle of the dough, spreading it evenly out. Next, sprinkle on a little salt and brown sugar. Next, cut out several small wedges and place them on top of each other on a baking sheet. Bake the pasties at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. Allow the pasties to cool for a few minutes before serving.
