The chile relleno It is one of the richest dishes in the Mexican gastronomy and it is that its versatility lends itself to being able to prepare it as you wish, having the guarantee that it will be delicious.
This time we share one tuna chile relleno recipe so that you can include it in your recipes for Lent or for any day that you have a craving. This homemade recipe can be perfect for cooking during the week and enjoy something very Mexican and with a home flavor.
The ingredients you need are:
- ½ piece of onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 4 pcs of tomato
- 2 pcs of serrano chiles
- 3 cans of tuna in water
- ½ cup tomato puree
- w/s salt and pepper
- w/olive oil
- 5 poblano chiles
- ½ cup cream
- 1 cup panela cheese
Now follow these simple steps:
We start with the chiles. Roast them on a griddle until they are completely black.
Put them in a bag to sweat for half an hour.
After time, remove the skin with the help of a knife. Open them, remove them and reserve.
On the other hand, place the finely chopped onion and garlic in a pan with hot oil until they are completely tender.
Add the diced tomatoes, finely chopped Serrano pepper, tuna and tomato puree.
Let cook for 20 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add this delicious mixture inside the chiles and add slices of panela cheese to the top.
Bake for half an hour and done.
