To create this recipe for candied pecans, you’ll need: 1 lb. of pecans 1 lb. of sugar 1 teaspoon of ground ginger 8 teaspoons of ground cinnamon 20 drops of orange extract 1/2 cup of water 1 tablespoon of light corn syrup 1 tablespoon of salt

How To Make Pecan Candies?
Pecan Candies Recipe. Ingredients: 3 cups pecans 4 cups white sugar 3 1/4 cups of water 8 oz cold water 6 tbsp corn syrup ( use gluten-free if needed) Process: It’s very easy to make candies, just place all ingredients in a pot and turn the heat on to medium. Cook for about 20-25 min or until sugar dissolves. Stir every 5 min. You should get a syrup which is clear and viscous. Pour syrup into jelly roll pan and cool it. When syrup is cool, roll out the dough and cut into small squares (about 1/2 inch). Put candies in freezer for about 30 min. Thaw candies and place them in a microwave on high for about 60 seconds. Enjoy.

The first time I tried candied pecans I was pretty skeptical. I thought they were way too sweet. I was wrong! The sweetness comes from the pectin in the pecans and the sugar.
